Term 4 Week 1

Monday
We did not do much but Mr Chua went through the aspects of the EOY performances and more.. I think my group would do well if we put in more EFFORT as we have all we need but something seems missing in there, we will work on it and hopefull pass!
Thursday
It was the full dress rehearsals. Very quickly, Mr Chua briefed us little and gave us 10mins maximum to go and get dressed to start rehearsing. As we got back to say our lines, I felt that I was too soft. In the end, our director was not pleased with us and when one of our mememberrs suggested that we do it all over again, to be better, my director didn't agree to it as it was no point as we were already screwed up. I guess she said this as she was angry and wanted our group to do well. I felt very bad that I didn't do a good job at least. Sigh. I hope everyone gets to pass their EOY performances and hope it all works out well.

Term 3 Week 10

Monday

This Monday, we had our full Lit rehearsals for the R & J play. As an wardrobe IC I failed to bmake sure the costumes came on set for rehearsals. I apologise for that, i was told that i wouldn't need to bring them. But it's still my responsibility. Mr Chua wasn't happy about that but moved on. I think we shoul d have taken in the comments Mr Chua gave and work harder and better in the next performance rehearsal because 70% of this goes into our Finals! GOODLUCK! (:

Thursday

For lit today, we got back our results for the test as I've said, I scored 19/20 for the test which I'm pleased with (: And then Mr Chua spent the rest of the lessons showing us a video of R & J the movie. I thought the first scene ; party secene was funny with the loud music and all but soon came to realise the purpose and it was to create a vibrant atmosphere as it is a party after all. Then proceeded to the romantic scene where slow music was played to show the peaceful and serenity of the scene is what I felt. I hope our group improves on our performance! We can do it if we put our heart into the things we do (;
HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

Term 3 Week 9

Monday

This week was our common test week for Lit. And I felt that I didn't study properly on how to answer the questions related and I thought the paper was hard. But it was also things that we had learnt and went through before so I gave it my best shot. And when the results came in later, I was surprised to have scored 19/20! I guess I had the correct answers even tough I felt I didn't structure them properly :) I hope to do as well as this test for the upcoming ones too ^^ I hope you fellow classmates did well too! :)

Thursday

We were introcued to the topic on Famine but it isn't a new topic as it is spread among the world through news and everything. We were given a picture that showed a vulture and a hungered child. We had to tell the relationship between these two and how it relates to the play, 'The Mighty Mandarin'.

(this is the picture.)

My explanation: The vulture looks as if its satisfied with it's meal and the child is pained by hunger.

But I find my classmate's explanation better: The vulture is awaiting for the child to have him/her last breath to prey on him/her as it will die without eating for days as it looks.

I think Famine is a serious issue and that we should help others out there in the world such as setting up food shelters for hungered people. Yes..

Term 3 Week 8 thursday

As we began our lessons for the day, we were called by our names to check that we had our assigment that was due to be handed up was there. Apparently, one of us had taken somebody else's assignment & had it photo-copied. I think this is extremely cheap and having no integrity in themselves. Thus, Mr Chua decided to remove the assignment tray to avoid any more cases of these events as it would make others do so as well. I then got back my AYLT ws where I scored 11/15 for. I will produce better results in the future!

Term 3 Week 8 monday

On this day for LIT, Mr Chua and Mr Naz arrived into our class for leson. At first I thought that Mr Naz would be conducting the lesson together with Mr Chua there. Turns out that Mr Chua had to leave for something which he had on I guess. So he handed Mr Naz a Mighty Mandarin worksheet for us to complete by the end of the lesson. It was bascially about different emotions that relate to different characters from the play and we have to give the evidence to why we gave such points as per normal as we always do. Before Mr Chua left, he cleared our doubts of some of the words that were on the worksheet..As I began doing the worksheet, I encountered some difficulty as one of the questions was tough to figure out but I got it eventually. Hopefully I'll get good marks for this worksheet assignment :)

Term 3 Week 7

Thursday

It was our very first rehearsals for our LIt play, Romeo and Juliet. I must say it was a wee bit of success. We assembled @ the NCDCC Corner to rehease. As Mr Chua was briefing us on what to do, he also said that Wardrobe /Costume personals had to give feedback on the actors' performance. As we began to settle down in our groups, the main actors began to act out their scenes. As I watched, I took down the pros and cons of their acting and how they could improve on it. After that the director from our group asked about our comments & feedbacks and the actors took it seriously and improved little by little. As we were doing the second round of acting, Mr Chua asked us to wrap it up and gather back. He then discussed with us various things and answered questions that were asked. After that, we were told that we will have our next rehearsals next Thursday. So until then!
